We have three locks and 36 miles today. First is the Fulton Lock mm 391, the Wilkins Lock mm376.3, and the Amory Lock mm 371.1 We were in and out of the Fulton Lock by 09:30, and arrived at the Wilkins Lock at 11:40, just 10 minutes too late to enter. Normally it should take less than an hour to turn the lock around, but there is a diver in the lock doing some repairs and we don’t get through until1:10. Fortunately the lockmaster allows us to tie up to the wall and we don’t have to drive in circles while waiting. Time for lunch. We make it through the Amory Lock at 2:15 and have only 13 miles to our next stop. Entering Aberdeen Marina is an unbelievable challenge. While the channel is well marked, it winds its way through a minefield of stumps and dead trees. It’s like driving a boat through a forest! Here's a video done by our friends Beth & Dean Jones aboard Kismet.
