We have an easy cruise today, 28 miles and only 1 lock.  If I haven’t mentioned it before, the locks on the Tombigbee WW are about the best and easiest to negotiate of all the rivers and canals we have been on so far.  It’s probably because they are the newest construction and the latest technology.  They all have floating bollards which make them easy to tie up to, and they all have very little turbulence inside because they have many drain and fill valves that are evenly distributed throughout the lock. They are also about the biggest.  We have had no problems and no anxiety!
