IT'S NOTHING IF NOT INTERESTING

Wed. 6/8/2011 Hazy Hot, Humid L71*/H106*
Depart Croton on Hudson 09:00
Arr Kingston NY. 4:30

Cruising up the Hudson is beautiful and interesting. The beauty is in the nature, the mountains, islands, and forests. Interesting in the many uses along the river. The most obvious being transportation.  Many barges, lots of trains, and highway bridges, and a few ships. We passed thru a lot of history and saw a lot of impressived buildings. West Point MA, The Roosevelt Mansion, and the Culinary Institute of America. The afternoon became unbearably HOT! We arrived at Kingston Harbor pretty beat so we are staying here for 2 nights to rest up.

THE TEMP ON THE BRIDGE IS 106*
THE TEMP IN THE ENGINE ROOM IS 104*

YIKES! We are being passed by a SHIP!

  1. Hi Joe,
Our mutual friend Charlie Perkins is concerned about the high-water and the upcoming bridges that may pose a clearance problem. I told him that you have already prepared for that.
    Regards,
    Dick
